The Downtown Lafayette Business Owners Association (DLBOA) is a non-profit organization representing the community of businesses and organizations located in the downtown area of Lafayette, Indiana. Our mission is to improve the downtown experience and create a welcoming, inclusive space for residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs. Through economic development efforts, events, and strong community partnerships, we are building a better, brighter future for Downtown Lafayette.
Our mission is to offer entrepreneurs with educational resources and provide networking opportunities for established and incoming businesses. The DLBOA serves a connector for all entrepreneurs within the downtown community of Lafayette by meeting with its members monthly and offering growth opportunities through acceleration and programming.
Each year, the DLBOA hosts signature events like Summer on the Square, Monster Mash on the Wabash, and A Merry Main Street Market. Each welcome thousands of attendees from across the region and featuring more than 70 local vendors per event. These events do more than celebrate our community, they generate foot traffic, drive economic growth, and build connections between businesses and the people they serve.

Main Street String Lights - A majority of Main Street is lit with beautiful string lights that illuminate our historic downtown and increased nightly foot traffic for shopping, dining, and the perfect photo opportunity.
Downtown Lafayette Business Acceleration Program - Provided one year’s rental assistance and education resources to A Pinch of Pepper Tea & Spicery for the success growth and development of their now established small business.
Local - A pop-up experimental opportunity for multiple small businesses, offering two one-month rental spaces and providing an chance for their businesses to grow and test out new product, services, and ideas. A continuous growth project.
Star City Nights - One of the largest downtown events in Greater Lafayette, bringing in nearly 8,000 residents and visitors. The night emphasizes the purpose of bringing community together through arts and music. We look forward to SCN 2026!!!
